An Emfit Seizure Alarm can raise an alert with a caregiver when a person is having a seizure while they are asleep, allowing them to respond quickly and help them to recover.Sensor technology recognises the slightest of movements and differentiates normal movement from strong muscle jerking, such as those associated with generalised tonic-clonic seizures (GTC). The system also detects micro-movements caused by a person’s breathing and heart beating.A bed sensor mat is placed under the mattress and is connected to a control device which can be mounted onto a wall, clipped to a bed frame or placed at the bedside table.
