The original, PC version of Minecraft recently reached 15 million sales, according to a tweet from the game's creator, Markus "Notch" Persson. In February the game sold 14 million copies on PC. It also hit two other milestones on different platforms: 12 million copies on Xbox 360, and 21 million for Pocket Edition on Android or iOS. Minecraft first came out in alpha in the month of May 2009, a long time before its official release in November 2011. Mojang, a developer, recently launched the subscription-based Minecraft Realms services for hosting multiplayer worlds.  yurock It costs $13 per month. It plans to launch a boxed retail version of the game on PS3 in May, which sold one million copies digitally during its first month on PSN as well as PS4 and Vita versions in Q2 or Q3 this year.
